Question about GPA

Quick question.

Do colleges place more emphasis on weighted GPA over unweighted, the other way around, or about the same? Thanks

Both are important. If you get a high weighted with low unweighted, that means you didn’t do well in your rigorous classes. If you get a high unweighted with low weighted, you didn’t challenge yourself or were lazy. Best scenario is high in both types. However, I might hesitantly assert that unweighted is slightly more important, because some schools treat weighted GPA differently than others (it’s not standard).

Colleges will likely not use your WGPA. Most will either make their own computation or use your UWGPA and eyeball your class rigor.
