<p>This question doesn't apply to me, really, because I have been accepted into my university and have confirmed my attendance. But this is something that has really bothered me throughout my time on this forum.</p>
<p>Is it really true that you can't get into college if you don't get all A's? I sure didn't(and I didn't have perfect test scores at all, 27 on ACT), and got accepted with top merit to a medium selective school. I see all kinds of students saying that their entire life is ruined because they got a B in an AP class! This is very upsetting to me because I think that is being SOOO OVERLY HARD ON YOURSELF!!</p>
<p>I am not trying to judge or anything of the like, I am just trying to UNDERSTAND! I do come from a very no-competition public school with terrible scores and no real positive attributes, so maybe I have just never met students that have such high standards in their education?</p>
<p>One of my previous teachers had the teaching philosophy that the only person who deserves an A in his class is himself. He said that if we took his own class he would get an A. No one else should. ._.</p>

<p>Well you SHOULD. Kids who moan that they have a 3.99GPA and are destined for a life of ruin should get a dope slap. Their little universe is far from reality.</p>
<p>Kinda reminds me of a dude here a few years ago who was going to retake his SAT b/c he got a 2380. He did and got the 2400. I’m glad my alma mater turned him down.</p>
<p>I am glad that there are others here that feel the same way that I do. </p>
<p>My big goal for college has never been to get into the biggest and the best, it was to find the right college that I would enjoy. I don’t care that I won’t make as much money. I also think that, though I get C’s in AP classes, I am a good student and that I have good grades. I have a 3.97 GPA even though I get B’s and C’s because of AP. Glad for weighted grades!</p>
