Question: Who has gotton into Ivy's( and other good schools) with poor grades?

<p>If you have gotton into an ivy or other good schools with average-poor grades, please list! Also, list any 'hooks', outstanding achievements, test scores and generally why you felt you got in- OR DIDN'T.</p>

<p>THANK YOU- I'm debating whether to apply to colleges at all this fall so this would really help me out. I screwed up one semester...really bad but otherwise have a 4.0. </p>

<p>i know youre not looking for this, but im thinking bad-poor grades arent really getting in unless you have something like athletics where they will do anything to have you</p>

<p>mmyea, if you have under a 3.6 cross your fingers? you probably have a shot unless you messed up real bad back in the day</p>

<p>I know two students this year who got into top schools.</p>

<p>One an ivy kid had perfect SAT scores, the other-no earthly
explanation on how the kid managed to get into a top public
school Out of State.</p>
