I am an OOS student and thinking about attending mizzou. On their website for required high school course work, it says that you must have a fine arts elective. Does this apply to OOS students as well? My school offers fine arts electives and practical arts electives. Would a practical arts be considered a fine arts elective at Mizzou, for example Business Law/Business Management, Basic Tech Drawing, or Digital Input/Computer applications? I would rather not take a ceramics or chorus class my senior year when I could take a class I am interested in.

The course work requirements would apply to everyone, in-state and out-of-state. You should contact the admissions office with your specific question. I’m sure they would be helpful. I work in the arts/arts education, and I encourage you to take fine arts in high school! You’ll be glad you did.
