Question about HONORS

So I was matched to Stanford through QuestBridge, but I’m still applying to a few other schools. I was just wondering whether I should put “QuestBridge National College Match Recipient” as one of my honors, because then the school looking at my app would know I matched to one of the four non-binding schools, so they’ll know I got into either Stanford, Yale, Princeton, or MIT.

I am just worried this might not be the best idea, because maybe the schools looking at my app will think I already have a spot in a top college and they’ll just give it to someone else who isn’t in. But matching to one of those four schools is really hard and technically an honor as I am a Match Recipient. But is it better to just say QuestBridge Finalist, or should I include that I was matched? Thanks.

I think you can mention anything you believe is an honor. And quite frankly unless they are actively yield protecting you will be a top candidate at all schools. If you are concerned, leave it off. Your core profile is what lead to the elite Questbridge match. That will be enough. And congrats it is an honor to be matched at that level. Great work! And best of luck.

I would not include it. Honestly, you’ve been matched with a top school. You’re going to get a fantastic scholarship. At best any AO will be looking at your app concerned with his/her school’s yield protection, and at worst, you’re going to come across as a trophy hunter.

I don’t think there’s a right answer here, though, only opinions.
