I'm currently studying for the GMAT, and I was wondering what my options are for the scores that I get.

If I do exceptionally well, that will put me in contention for a spot at a top-tier business school. If I continue to work hard and study, I don't see any problems with breaking into the investment management field.

However, what if I do well on the GMAT, but not well enough for top-tier? What are my options now? What if I settle for a business school that is second-tier? Would I still have a conceivable chance of breaking into the investment management industry?
