Question about Interviews

Hi everyone!
I'm a British student, hoping to get in to Dartmouth for Fall 2011. I recently had an interview with some alumni and I was wondering whether it is normal for Dartmouth to interview international students. The Dartmouth website didn't really mention international students in the interview section, and I was wondering if anyone knows what the situation is regarding overseas interviews?
Thanks everyone!

I think the current policy is to not interview international students unless there’s a compelling reason to. In any case, interviews are not given much weight in the process.

I remember hearing them talk about this on office hours once. It’s pretty much that same as in the states, where you get an interview if there’s an alum nearby. I can say, though, that interviews don’t make or break an application. For example, I did not get an interview and was accepted. However, everyone else that applied from my school did get an interviewer, so I don’t know why I didn’t get one (they are all still waiting for results). Of the Dartmouth students I know, some got interviews and some didn’t. It’s really not a big deal.
