Someone mentioned a little bit ago that this book lacked some material in its misc. section. Anyone care to elaborate?

they lied then i got an 800 with it

okay, lol. congrats.

me too lol. if u take practice tests from other books - which u should do for any SAT/SAT2 - you will fill in the holes

ARe the Kaplan practice tests hard in comparison with the actual test? I took two of the official college board practice tests and got 800 on both, but scored low-mid 700s on the Kaplan ones.

they're about the same...i never took the cb practice tests so i would guess they were easier? idk

Kaplan's are a little harder than the actual test, but not much.
O and to answer your first question, kaplan does lack a few bits of information in its misc. section. Most of the time you won't see it on the test, and if you do it'll be 1-2 questions.
Thats why some people used only Kaplan and pulled 800's, because remember a raw score of 43 = 800.

ahh... What about Kaplan vs. the official collegeboard ones? Some of the practice Kaplan ones really kill me... I only could sit through two before pulling my hair out in frustration (try to do 'em all, but one or two each test are pretty difficult)... but the collegeboard ones were much friendlier. Oh, and what about the Princeton Review tests? I took two of those as well... (in comparison to the actual test)

What score on which company's test would mean a likely 800 on the real thing?

the only thing with kaplan is it lacks some of those conceptual/misc questions. for example on my october test, there was a question about wats the intersection between a circle and a plane or something. i dont remmeber the Q but its just something u gotta reason through, cant really KNOW

My guess is a raw score of 39+ on Kaplan = 800 on Kaplan

you mean 39+ kaplan = 800 actual test?

somewhere around there, yes.
Remember Kaplan is slightly harder than the actual test, so if a 43 = 800 on real test, then a raw score in Kaplan of 39-40 probably equates to an 800 on the actual test.
Im using barrons, and barrons is very difficult compared to the actual test. Some people get 700's on barrons and still get 800's on the actual test.

If I were you I would aim for an 800 on Kaplan, when you take the CB test, the 800 wont be a reach for you, it'll be a daily routine.
Good luck

its not 39+. i dont have the book on me, but im pretty sure its not..
