<p>hey everyone, just a quick question about letters or recommendation. i want to apply to my schools honors program and i need two letters of rec. i wasn't sure about which professors it would be good to ask. i was thinking about asking my gen bio professor. i'm doing really well in his class, i have an A in the lecture and lab section..(i'm a bio major)...but i haven't talked to him at all during his office hours or anything. would it be ok to ask him? i've never asked for letters of recommendation before, so i was just looking for some tips on who to ask/how to ask.</p>
<p>Yes. He would be a good one to ask. Make an appointment. Tell him how much you like his class and that you are planning to major in Bio (if he doesn't already know). Ask if he could write a rec for you for the Honors program. I'm sure he'll say yes.</p>
<p>He may want to learn about what other classes you're taking. You might be prepared to talk about what especially interests you in the field, in case that comes up or you want to bring it up.</p>
