Question about listing Honor Societies

So I was trying to figure out how to mention the different honor societies on the common app. People were saying that unless you put a lot of hours into it, it should be listed as an honor rather than an activity. I don't put hours upon hours of work into the society because they don't do much other than a few events so I'm guessing I should be it as an honor.

I'm a member of multiple honor societies, too many to list as individual honors, so I grouped them by years in the society (aka, Math and English honor society for grades 10-12 and Science and SS for grades 11-12). Would this be okay?

Also, I hold positions in a couple of the societies, so would it be okay if I mentioned the position and year held in the "Honors # Title" field? So I would put
Honors 2 Title:
Math and English honor society - English President (12)

Do you guys think this is okay to put? Or what would you do?

bumppp anyone??

Yeah, you’re probably over-stressing about this. They’ll know what you mean and you’ll get the point across. The semantics are a relatively small issue compared to actually obtaining the honor in the first place.

Make it plural, add the word National (if these are national honor societies), capitalize all nouns, change the dash to a comma and move the word President up to emphasize it a bit more:

Math and English National Honor Societies, President English (12)
