<p>How competitive are LSE's MSc programs in Financial Mathematics and Applied Math? Which one's better? And how good are the programs relative to other UK/US programs?</p>
<p>I have a 3.8 overall gpa, 3.7 in math (including probability, theory of stat, and some analysis), and 3.85 in economics (including game theory, two semesters of econometrics, financial and monetary history of the US) at Rutgers, New Brunswick. I've taken graduate level statistics classes in regression and time series, am in the honors program, and will write a senior thesis in economics. However, I haven't taken the GRE or GMAT and have only taken 1 course in computer science (Java). </p>
<p>What are my chances at both programs?</p>
