If you major in mathematics are there careers in the business and engineering world for you? Like say i major in mathematics and take some business/economics classes, will that lower my chances of getting into a top level MBA?

come on please answer…Also are georgia tech and rice good schools for math (undergrad)

bump will someone please put some input

The wealthiest person I know earned a B.S. in mathematics.

He used the analytical skills he acquired in his coursework to start a company and exploit a gap in the market.

Yes, there are many extremely high-paying careers involving skills in CS and economics that a math major can take up.

I know little about the specifics of Georgia Tech and Rice – they are presumably both engineering schools, so they should have at least a decent math program, especially if you’re going more applied and pure, but this is speculation.
