question about majors (psych and neuroscience)

hello all

I am a junior in high school and I’m seriously considering applying to Pitt. was just curious as to whether or not it is allowed for someone to double major in Psycology and Neuroscience. I tried doing some research on the website and found no indication that it is either allowed or unallowed. Any advice? thank you!

@hufflepuffin, You are certainly encouraged to double major at Pitt! Many students at Pitt take advantage of our broad offering of programs to combine a couple of majors, minors, and certificates and meet their academic goals.

You can see some stories from students who did choose to double major at Pitt here: http://yourworld.pitt.edu/person/rebecca-clements

While there are areas of overlap, neuroscience and psychology aren’t really that similar. Neuroscience is closer to other biology majors. Beware of schools that offer “neuroscience programs” through their psych departments.
