question about majors

i go to relatively good college but it's not a target for i banks or anything like that. usnews top 50ish. as a business major im wondering what the best combo is considering salaries and job availability. i would love to do work with the stock market- maybe even quant stuff. the business school is especially known for its finance program but i don't even think the BSM degree is accredited for accounting so.....

assuming that my interest in these fields is the same, which would be the best double major out of these possibilities -

finance
accounting
math
mathematical economics (like a major thats half math/half econ)
or just straight econ

the most i could do would prob be double major + minor so im wondering what would look best for employers................ much appreciated

if u can keep your GPA high enough then I would major in math then go to business school later. With a high GPA and high gmat, you could get into i-banking from there, especcially with your math skills. My suggestion relies heavily upon your ability to succeed within the major, with a low GPA your business school prospects will not be very good.

i’m thinking finance + mathematical economics. cause majoring in math alone would definitely lower my gpa. is that a good combo?

would employers rather hire a 3.2 math major or a 3.7 finance major?
