Hey all, Is Michigan State University a good school if I am majoring in Business/Accounting? and is the school equivalent to other state schools like, Rutgers State University? please help, thanks.

I was gonna ask the same thing + I also want to know if the big 4 recruit here?
:)

I’m sure MSU is a fine place to study business and I would be very surprised if the big 4 did not recruit there. For those interested in accounting, a top school is not necessary. A school the size of Michigan State will generally be recruited by a wide variety of quality employers.

Thanks for the help, I really Appreciate it.

So if I were to stay at my local school -Oakland University (for financial reasons), would I still have the same chances of being recruited from Big 4 (assuming high GPA in both) as in Michigan State?

Just so you guys know what type of school Oakland University is, here are some links:
Oakland University: [Home - Oakland University](http://www4.oakland.edu)
Michigan School Rankings: [Colleges and Universities in Michigan - by web popularity ranking](http://www.4icu.org/us/Michigan.htm)

The way I see it, Big 4 seems to recruit just about everywhere as long as the school has a business program. Otherwise, build up your networking skills. It’s all about who you know.

I would contact the school’s career services and/or someone from the business/accounting program to gain information about the hiring of accounting majors at Oakland U.
