question about midyear reports

I was wondering when midyear reports for ED acceptees are due. Cornell's website says that they're due as soon after Jan 2 2010 as possible, but my school works on quarters, and the second quarter of our school year ends at the end of January. Should I tell my counselor to send in my grades then?

Also, when sending in a midyear report, should it be done online with CommonApp or should the counselor send in a paper copy?

don’t think midyear reports for early decision acceptees are needed - only final reports.

Untrue. Cornell does require a midyear report. Sending it via e-mail or paper depends on the individual counselor. Did your Counselor mail or e-mail your original application? She will use the same medium as she did the previous time.

Sending it by end of Jan is fine. That’s actually when I’m sending in my own. It should ideally arrive before mid-Feb.

didn’t they say on the acceptance letter that they only need final? Why do they want midyears?

My school’s non-semestered so there are no final grades at all until June.
