Question about my chances to ge into UC's

Hello
Im trying to get into UCs
Im going to be Junior this yr
my gpa is 3.3 (sophomore)
the reason why my gpa is so low is because i got a D in AP Chem 2nd semester. I got a C in a community college(ap chem)
does that replace my Ap chem grade?(D to C)
and also
Im just going to take 1 ap this year(AP calculus)
Honor US history, Honor Enlgish, and Honors Bio
If i could bring my gpa upto 3.7-8 and 1800-1900 on my SAT
what are my chances of getting into UCs?
my main goal is to get into UCLA or UCSD(any UC is fine :)
my extra curricular activities are Varsity tennis, community service hours(over 200), and key club

are you in state? if so...

ucsb/ucsc/ucr safety
uci/ucd match
ucsd reach
ucla/berkeley impossible

This is assuming you get 1800-1900 on SAT. Just my 2 cents. Study hard for those SAT's.

Depends on your class rank, but that D will REALLY hurt you, but admission officers might see your CC class and see that you just really suck at chem lol.

CAL/UCLA high reach
UCSD low reach
UCI/UCD match
others = safeties

I took AP world, AP Chem, and honor math analysis(sopho)
Ill be takin H Us, H eng,H bio and AP calc

uh.. i wouldnt be calling anything a match except riverside, merced, and sc, with that D.

cant i replace that D with C from CC?

It still shows a D on your transcript.

and even then, a C is bad.

I'd suggest taking some more CC classes, that will boost your chances at UCs, and maybe make up for that D

You can't replace that D on your high school transcript with the C from your CC transcript unless your high school recognizes the CC credit. Even then, a C isn't much better.

When you say "3.7-3.8," are you talking about UC GPA?

yeah, Im talking about UC gpa
