Question about National Semifinalist Cutoff

so it looks like people's been getting their scores back....

well anyway,
in the official study guide for 2007 psat, under the writing section scoring table, it said that the actual test maybe 3~4 points lower (that writing curve was ridiculous!). does that mean that the cutoff for national semi merit will drop this year? what's the trend?

eh, im from indiana, and my score is 2 pts lower (i got 212) than the last year's cutoff =___=;;; geez, it seems kinda unrealistic to hope for national semi merit

I'm really curious too. Are cutoffs expected to drop? I got a 223 and I'm in DC (the cutoff here is 223 >_<)

I'm worried, and extremely disappointed. I dropped from a 223 (from my sophomore year) to 203 (my junior)....I dont even know what to say, I'm just dumbfounded, personally I thought that I did really well on the test...Is there any way that I can get SF? I'm from Mississippi... Are the scores expected to drop or increase? And approximately by how much?
Thanks
-Manoj

I'm pretty sure that the drop was done for the 2006 test, so there shouldn't be any big drop in qualifying scores.

errrrrr dangit.
im just wondering, is top 1% semifinalist? or 0.5%? does anyone know for sure?

It's about top 0.5% (in your state).
