How does of the difficulty of admission of each school within Northwestern compare to each other? Is the Arts and Sciences, being the biggest, the best chance of admission? Does anyone have any info concerning the acceptance rates of each school?

admission does not differ significantly among the schools. you should have the best chance if you apply to the school you really like. with that said, it's easy to transfer into arts and sciences from the more specific schools but not the other way around.

Apply to the school you wish to study. That will increase your chances of admission. I know prospective students try to find a "backdoor method" to get into Northwestern. If you don't want to be an engineering, journalism or music student, don't apply to those schools. Inter-school transfers are also easy once you're already enrolled at Northwestern. For example, I transferred from WCAS to SESP my sophomore year.
