Hey I have orientation this week and had a few questions.

Where do we sleep?
Do we have a roommate?
Do we need to bring towels for our showers or are they provided?
What do we do each of the days?
Are we split into groups/how many per group?
What else should I bring?

Thanks for answers!

You sleep in Rieber Terrace or Vista, yes you have a roommate, towels are provided, you’re split into groups based on something like your major into about 8-15ish, bring hand soap (they don’t provide any)

Anyway, it’s a lot of seminars, group bonding, and a few other things. And of course, choosing classes! I wouldn’t fret too much, they guide you through it well. Bring a little bit of money (just 20ish) in case you go out, or more if you think you will.

Bring shampoo too and water! Had to share my water with my roomies! The blankets are really thin so bring a sweater/jacket/another blanket if you think you’ll be cold. First day is pretty much all seminars till late at night when you see your NSA = New student advisor perform and then you get to enjoy the rest of the night with dancing and games. Second day is the best day imo where you actually get some down time to plan your classes and the awesome scavenger hunt at night time! Literally the scavenger hunt was the best part of the orientation for me even though my whole group was exhausted and we finished around 3 AM. Also if you’re scared of confrontation, be warned as you’ll be having a ONE on ONE with your NSA during this day or so. I ended up talking about the most random things with my NSA though I would assume your suppose to ask questions about UCLA during this time…which I did not…talked about Disney stuff cause I’m weird…Third day was dreadful and long. You basically register for your classes at 9 AM or so with your group and then do a alcohol edu. and sex seminar. Rest of the day you’re just out walking with your group throughout the campus as they explain to you all the monuments and stuff…It’s a bore and tiring. Remember to bring walking shoes too! That pretty much sums it up, they’ll give you a schedule sheet so you’ll know when to be on time for things. 6PM is when you’re suppose to leave but you can check out as late as 10 PM. Have fun! Orientation is a blast! Sorry for longgg response :x

All I really remember from orientation was presentation after presentation after presentation…and Cabaret, make sure to check that out.
