If you graduate from a pharmacy school with a Pharm.D degree ... Is it possible for you to work in pharmaceutical companies or do you have to work in pharmacies or hopsitals etc... Because someone told me there was a different branch of pharmacy called pharmacology or something if you wanted to work in companies for research... Is that true?

I think it is possible to work in a pharmaceutical company if you have a Pharm D. However, I think that a Pharm D is geared more towards pharmacies and hospitals while a masters or PhD in pharmacology will gear you more towards research.

I'm not a Pharm major, but I read this really interesting book called "The Billion Dollar Molecule" about how a pharmeceutical company made drugs by building their own molecules. And there is a lot of day-to-day detail about working in research pharm industry.
