<p>I mean, will they be asked to register their personal account or log in using my account name and password? Will they have to attach a copy of signed recommendation letter or just print computer text then? Thanks!</p>
<p>When you invite a counselor or recommender through the common app, assuming your school does not use Naviance, they will receive an email from common app inviting them to create their own recommender account. From there they will get access to the forms to fill out for you. These will include some bits to be done online and the option to upload a separate document. In the counselor’s case this can be both a recommendation and your transcript, and in the recommenders’ case this can be a letter of recommendation. Alternatively, they can just type directly into the common app’s form rather than uploading a separate document. Transcripts can also be delivered by mail separate from the counselor’s form. You should not give your account log in information to anyone, including your recommenders.</p>
