Question about reporting AP Scores

I think on the caltech supplement they have enough spots for 5 ap scores iirc. Should I fill up those 5 with both math/science tests and other tests? Or should I only fill in my math/science tests and leave out my other tests (though this would not fill up all 5 slots)

fill up all 5 if you can! I would put the math science ones first though

Yeah, I think most Caltech students have had this issue; fill up the five spots with (preferably) math and science APs you did well on, and then attach a supplemental sheet with your other scores.

Good luck.

Do the scores need to be officially reported or can we just give them a photocopy?

you don't need to do either-that's why it's self-reported. Obviously if you say you had all 5s, then you get in and when you send the grade report for credit you had 3s-you're in trouble.

I might be wrong, but I thought that if you had the college board send in your SAT score they would also send your AP scores.

Nope - they don't...Or, at least they didn't some 300 days ago...

AP score reports are not included on SAT score reports (which DO include both SAT I and SAT II scores). If you have taken more AP tests than there is space for on the Caltech supplement, it of course would be a good idea to self-report all your scores on an attachment to the form.

Since Caltech does not give credit for AP exams, do people tend to skip the exams in their senior year?

I took all of mine but only to mitigate senioritis.

I didn't take any AP exams my senior year- it was nice, and I saved some money. (why mitigate senioritis- enjoy it while you can!)
