Question About Rutgers NB Chances

Hello there. I'm still a junior in HS, and have yet to taken the SAT's.

I'm worried about getting into Rutgers, though. I moved in the middle of my sophomore year to another school and my grades got messed up because of that. Not badly, but I was just given a B, simply because I wasn't there for the whole cycle + I had to take the midterm like that.

Still, I have a 3.6, 3.7 GPA as of now. Since I moved like that, I didn't have much of a choice in the classes I was put in. I wasn't really in hard classes; well the classes were hard, but colleges won't know that since it isn't an "Honors" class. Therefore, I don't think my schedule will be much of a help.

To get into Rutgers NB, what should I aim for on the SAT? I know at least 1700 would be good, 1800 would be even better. Should I be getting a higher score than that? Also, is it bad that I am going to take the SAT's now and fall of next year? Then after my second SAT, I am going to apply to Rutgers NB, so I'm hoping the early bid might help me.

Thanks in advance.

If you get a score in the range with that GPA you’ll definitely be accepted, no doubt about it. Just stay on top of your game and don’t let grades drop, even through Senioritis just make sure you keep your grades up, they can always rescind an offer.

Thank you for the reply.

So, 1700-1800 is best, that’s good to know.

Also, Rutgers doesn’t look at my senior schedule/grades do they? Because now that I have more of a choice, my schedule is little better, and I’m sure that my grades will be up.

all schools look at your senior schedule and grades- you are required to send transcripts to most if not all of the schools you apply to.

1700-1800 for SAS ( a friend with 1700 and 3.8 GPA is still on waitinglist.
1800-1900 + 3.7-4.0 GPA for school of Engineering and buisness
