My daughter just got her Subject Test results today. 770 in literature, which is where we expected. However, she bombed the US History test (mid 600s). Highly surprising considering she got a 5 on her AP test, and was just awarded US History student of the year at a highly competitive private school. Is it recommended to retake this exam? A few schools she will apply to require 2/3 subject tests of her choice. Does that mean she can exclude it since it’s her choice which to send? Thank you!
I would retake the USH test became the school that requires 2/3 would pass on your application no matter on how it looks if it doesn’t meet all criteria. While she is retaking the USH she might want to take a Math or a Science so she has more variety to choose from when sending to colleges. Some colleges like MIT, require certain SATs.
