I did bad in Sat subject USH，but I would take math as my major. Would the score affect my applicatio

I had my sat subject test in January in a rush.I prepared USH in a very short time;pls, I am an international student so I had not taken any class. Then, I got 800 in math2, 760 in physics and horribly,570 in USH. Therefore, I think I have to retake USH.So, here are my questions:

  1. If the college I will apply to (say TOP 25 universities) requires all the scores and I choose math or business as major,would this horrible score affect my application greatly??
    2.If I work hard in the next 3 months and do well in AP USH in May and the sat USH in June, will this awful 570 still play a negative role in application? Will the situation get much better?

I really appreciate everyone who can answer my questiones or discuss them!!!

You don’t need more than 2 SAT 2’s for any school. I think a couple of schools suggest 3 but only 2 schools do and that is a recommendation. You can have the USH canceled it you took it by itself. If you took it at the same time as the others you can’t od that. I don’t think it will matter since you have 2 strong scores.

Thank you for your reply. I was really worried about this score since I took all 3 tests on one day. I think I will retake all 3 tests，just in case.

Just retake US History when you finish APUSH. Most schools are flexible in regards to score choice and subject tests.
