hello guys,
My question is: Suppose that one does 2 SAT tests and in the second he/she scores higher in some sections but lower in others, will colleges take the highest scores from the 2 tests combined? Or are they treated seperately?
regards,

It depends on the university. The term you’re looking for is ‘superscoring’- the practice of taking the highest scores you’ve ever gotten on each section from all the SATs you’ve ever taken.
So, the short answer is that you should check which universities superscore. I think that most do superscore, but they want to see all the tests you’ve taken anyway.

Colleges fall into two groups when you submit multiple test scores: (a) those that use that test with the highest composite score to determine admission, most but not all public universities are in that group; (b) those that superscore, meaning they use the higest section scores from multiple tests to determine admission, most but not all private unversities are in that group.
