Question about SAT's and transferring

I was homeschooled in high school, and therefore I never took the SAT's. I knew I was going to community college. I am now seriously considering transferring out to go to Chapman University for fall 2007. I was told by a college rep that if I have more than 30 units, I don't need to take the SAT's. What should I do guys. Should I take the SAT's? I don't know if he meant college units in general, or only transferrable units. I currently have 21 units after this semester, and summer school courses I took when i was bored. I plan on applying in December, and I should have way more than 30 units by then with the courses I will be taking next semester. SHOULD I TAKE THE SAT'S? Does anyone here go to Chapman?

ps: I would be transferring to attend Chapman as a sophomore.

I need an answer asap.

Thanks guys.

You won't have 30 credits when they evaluate your application, seems ilke you need to take the SAT.

I was hoping that I can just tell them that I am currently taking the classes. Do colleges not work that way?

Go here for Chapman's transfer brochure: <a href="http://www.chapman.edu/images/userImages/deschene/Page_3825/TransferBrochure.pdf%5B/url%5D">http://www.chapman.edu/images/userImages/deschene/Page_3825/TransferBrochure.pdf</a>
As you will see (page 4 of the pdf) you need at least 24 hours "at the time of the application" to avoid any SAT requirement. It does not say but I assume that means 24 transferable hour. You should call to make sure of what is needed.

Huh, ok. I guess it's the SAT's for me. :(
