im just wondering if any of you guys know anything about this and any help would be appreciated. right now i am 16 and a junior in hs. is it possible to still go to high school if i decide to like take a year off? i mean like if i wanted to leave school for about a year, is it possible to still go back to school after a year? also another question i have is that i currently go to school in new york city but if i wanted to transfer to a school in another state, would they have to accept me or can they reject? thanks in advance.

I don't believe that taking a year off of hs and then returning to hs is a good idea. As far as transferring to another hs, i think it would b alright, but do u have a reason for doing so? If it's because the school conditions in NYC are terrible, then yea, you should transfer and not get penalized for it, but don't take a year off during hs. After graduating hs, u can take a year off but b careful about it

i actually go to one the the best high schools in new york city, ranked #2 in new york or something but the reason is that i need some time off for personal reasons. i know taking a year off is not a great idea but im wondering if its possible to do that. from your post im getting that i can but im not sure if thats what you mean. thanks

I live in California, and I know that some juniors and seniors can go to the nearby city college, and it is equivalent to high school.
