Greetings,
I received a call for the Singletary scholarship and was talking to others who had also received a call and they said that if you get a call for the scholarship you’re basically set for getting into the honors college as the honors college and scholarship committee look at the same application when determining who they want to look at for the scholarship. As such, they said that if you get a call for singeltary then the honors college would likely want you as well. Is this true?
Thanks!
I don’t know how anyone could know that for sure unless you worked in the UK admissions office. I would guess most who get to interview for the Singletary do get into honors, but I doubt anyone can guarantee that outcome for you. Good luck!
My son did not get a call for Patterson or Singletary scholarships but is in the honors program. They have 400 spots, last year they had over 4,000 applications. Assuming that all the S and P winners get in to the H program that leaves about 300 spots. The boys 3 roommates did not interview for the P and S. I would assume that they would interview at least 10 candidates for each scholarship.
Good luck.
Thanks everyone?
As a follow up question, do you all know how many people are interviewed for the Singletary scholarship?
