im planning to study abroad in my junior year to korea...but how does housing work at ucla if i only go for a quarter? say i went fall quarter and then come back for winter/spring...so do i just need to find an apt or something?

yermama,

You can enter into the housing lottery right before you come back and hope for a spot. Otherwise, look for "roommate wanted" ads in craigslist.

^^^

I was hoping that wouldn't be the case...

=/

hm...on the other hand. if i went in the spring and stayed in the dorm for the first half of the year, would i be allowed to leave it when i went abroad?

Yeah, leaving for study abroad is the easy part.

Finding a new one when you get back is a bit trickier.

Oh, and trust me about finding housing... it's not as bad as your frosh butt thinks it is.

haha...i have complete faith in your wisdom :p

when do people usually go abroad? summer, fall, spring, winter?

Jason,

Most programs start in the summer and end in the summer.
