<p>I can think of plenty movies that are works of art. If you do it well, I don’t see the problem.</p>

<p>I’m putting this in for those who might search for this topic and find it in the future:
Be careful about using a book when you are also familiar with the film adaption. I once read an essay about my favorite book, but it became clear that it was really about the movie, which was missing a few key characters and events. I don’t think that derailed the application, but I was a little disappointed.</p>
