<p>Is it important to get at least one rec from a teacher in the field that you plan to major in for college?</p>
<p>I plan to apply as a bio or chem major (pre-med) and possibly to accelerated pharmacy programs at USC and University of the Pacific and I thought that, especially for the accelerated programs, it might be important to get a rec from at least one science or math teacher. But I only have one science/math teacher that is worth asking and her system makes it very hard to get recs and it means I won't know until August :/ I do think my history teacher knows me better so I wanted to find out how important it was to have recs from different academic areas so I could weigh the pros and cons.</p>
