So I was accepted to UF on an appeal. I was notified a few weeks ago that I was accepted to the Summer B term. I really really want to request a term change for Fall so I can work throughout the summer and make some money because my parents are covering most of my education but not all of it. When asking my guidance councillor about requesting a term change, she told me that just by requesting it they could revoke my acceptance because I was let in through an appeal! Is this true?? And is my reason for requesting a term change valid? Please help :)

Absolutely NO, you can request a term change because there is not a little sign that says that you were accepted through appeal, and they won’t revoke your acceptance because of that, what kind of counselor is that?

okay thanks! do you think it is too late to request the term change?

IDK, just sent them an email explaining your reasons but don’t tell them that you were accepted through an appeal.

thanks so much for your help!

I would call them tomorrow…they are usually very helpful and friendly on the phone. Don’t hestitate to call and ask and tell them your situation. Call the phone # on the very bottom of this page link:
