question about the blue and gold plan for community college transfers?

so there's a 4 year limit to receive blue and gold financial aid for UC students, but my question is for community college transfers. what if someone spent, let's say, 3 years at a cc before transferring to the UC, does that mean they will be missing 1 whole year of aid once they do transfer since they will have to graduate in 5 years rather than 4? Or does the limit only apply to how long you spend at the actual UC (so for transfer students you'd get 2 years after transferring?)

This is a good question since I’m going to be above the 3 year mark at my local CC. I’m not sure what the blue and gold plan is though.

As a junior level transfer you get 2 year ( quarters) and 1 year (3 quarters) as a senior

Right, you have 2 years regardless of how long you were at community college (or how many units you took, or whether it’ll take you more than 2 years or not to graduate).
