So I had my interview and I was told that you can take your classes at any of the colleges, Wharton, Engineering, and CAS, no matter which one you are in. He also said that you can even major in those colleges if you fill the course requirements. So my questions is...since Wharton is so much harder to get in, why don't people just apply for CAS and then go take classes at Wharton and graduate as a business major, especially since the first year or two you need to take a lot of CAS classes anyways.

you can take classes but you can't major in it
and your second year in wharton is basically all Wharton core

Well I don't know about Wharton, but my interviewer said that she was in CAS and could have majored in engineering if she wanted to.

you can get a dual degree but i dont think you can major in engineering and get a CAS degree. that wouldn't make sense. you can also transfer.

yes, you can take classes in whatever school you want

but in order to receive a degree from one or more schools, you must be "enrolled" in that school - which means if you weren't originally accepted into that school, you have to transfer in / apply for dual degree.

if you start out in the college, you end with a college degree... the only way to get an engineering or wharton degree is to transfer into engineering or wharton, or apply to get a dual degree with both the college / engineering or college / wharton.

same thing for nursing - interesting fact that people do dual college / engineering, college / wharton, or nursing / wharton, but i'm pretty sure nobody does dual nursing / engineering (their individual school graduations are the same time at different places!)
