<p>I have filled out the entire application except for the part where they ask why are you choosing your major. I was wondering how long and how in depth should my response be?</p>

<p>Mine was about three sentences long. As long as you explain your major and why you chose that, that should be plenty.</p>
<p>I'm not familliar with the application, but if they offer a substantial space for a response i would try to craft a good answer. That is giving you a chance to show your passion for your major. Why do you like to do what you do, how do you think, do you have plans for the future? Its a good question where you can reveal a lot about yourself that wouldn't make it out of your head in other parts of the application.</p>
