I am currently a freshman at another university, and I am considering applying as a transfer to Penn for next year. I am well aware of how difficult it is to transfer, so I don't even know if I'll get in. However, my question is not about getting in as much as it is about being able to assimilate into the Class of 2015 smoothly. Do any current Penn students have any input as to how I would make the transfer if accepted. Would it be fairly easy to blend into the Penn community? Is Penn a welcoming university in your opinion? Are TA's and professors helpful with their students? Do most sophomores live in the dorms? Thanks for any advice.

I’ll second this question. I’m considering transferring from Macalester to here (if accepted, of course) and I have all the same questions about transitioning.

Any thoughts???

im also considering transferring.
do you guys by any chance know if penn has any required courses for transfers???
i couldn’t find it on their website…:/

i don’t believe there are any required courses, but you’d have to meet with an advisor to determine which of your classes would transfer for credit. pretty sure there are only required classes if you are transferring in as a junior and want to delve right into a selected major
