Question about transferring?

I am planning to transfer to a college the next spring semester, but if I attempt to transfer for next spring, but after I have received my admission offers I decide that I want to stay another semester at my current university, am I eligible to transfer to separate universities during the following fall semester; instead of taking up the offers for what would've been the spring semester?

I'm basically saying am I allowed to test my transfer status by using a semester to see which colleges admit me without having to actually transfer?

You don’t have to transfer, no.

I’m not sure how easy it is to defer admissions though. And I personally wouldn’t apply to a school two semesters in a row when I was already accepted.

I already have a list to the schools I’ll try to transfer to next spring semester, and I already have a list of the schools I’d try to transfer to the following fall semester. Most of the schools I want admittance into only allow transferring during fall semester, and I won’t transfer to any the schools during the fall semester that I attempted to during the spring.
Depending on which schools accepts me, I’ll probably end up accepting an offer anyway for the spring semester. I have a really great list of schools that could realistically accept me during both semesters.
