<p>Well, it's not going to be easier because it's a B.S. program and requires much more math than the regular econ program. However, it is less difficult to be admitted to the math/econ major than regular econ as a transfer student (in terms of GPA and requirements).</p>
<p>The competition for anything involving Econ from any school comm college or nit is cutthroat be prepared. Have most of your pre reqs completed and the highest possible gpa by the time you apply. Econ is prob the most impacted and competitive major at UCLA or any institution for that matter... one possible reason for this being the fact that people are quick to equate an econ degree to job security and monetary success.</p>
