I'm going to apply ED1 to Vassar this year.

I'm preparing for my application to Vassar and I'm having trouble with the "Why Vassar" essay

I realize that the essay prompt is "How did you learn about Vassar and what aspect of our college do you find appealing?"
Does it mean that Vassar expect applicants to describe only ONE aspect in this essay?

This question is very open-ended, and I think by design. As with most application essays, I’m sure they want to see good writing, but beyond that, colleges typically like to see a passion. So, other than just listing the things you find appealing about Vassar, you should probably mention how those things (or just one if you focus on one) make you feel. Ask yourself, WHY do you really want to go to Vassar? Why is it SO high on your list that you want to apply ED1? There has to be a reason. Give them that reason. I think general good advice here is not to give them what you think they want to hear, but give them what YOU want to give them. That usually ends up being better.

Are you absolutely positive it says “aspect” and not “aspects”? I remembered it as “aspects” and I just googled one reference to it and it was “aspects” – please check again! if it says “aspect”, write about “aspectS” anyway! I’m so sure they don’t want you to like the college because of just ONE thing!

EDIT; oh I see I’m way too late in my answer! Hope you get in!!!
