I’m applying EDI to Vassar College. I’m working on the “why Vassar” essay (the prompt is “How did you learn about Vassar and what aspect of our college do you find appealing?”) and I’m currently writing about how much I liked the diversity, passion, and quirkiness of the students. The problem is, I’m not sure if this is what they’re looking for, and I can’t really write about how much I want to study with Professor X or in the X Department because I’m not exactly sure what I want to study in college yet. Does anyone (especially to anyone else who’s done this essay) have any advice? Thanks 
if you can’t answer the question, then maybe you don’t know the answer.
To me that is a canned response to a large extent. Most schools are diverse and have passionate students. Why this school versus that school? Think back to why you didnt apply to certain schools. What is that you didn’t like. Maybe this will make it easier to figure out the why Vassar?
