I’m a senior in high school considering going to BC next year. Admittedly, I do not know very much about the school and have not yet visited, although I plan to. My biggest concern is being separate from the rest of the university as a CSOM student-- do CSOMers tend to be friends with CSOMers? How integrated into the idea of liberal arts is the curriculum at the Carroll School? If I wish to change majors part way through my studies at BC can I transfer to the College of Arts and Sciences?

Your responses are greatly appreciated, and I apologize if my questions have very obvious answers as I have not yet visited the school or talked to any students there.

1) do CSOMers tend to be friends with CSOMers?
Yea, I don't see why not. After all, a large portion of the classes you'll be taking are going to be in CSOM with other CSOM students. You'll probably also befriend some CSOMers on your floor as well.

2) How integrated into the idea of liberal arts is the curriculum at the Carroll School?
I'd say it's highly integrated becuase all BC students are required to take the university core, which includes math, science, history, english classes, philosophy, theology, and various other classes.

3) If I wish to change majors part way through my studies at BC can I transfer to the College of Arts and Sciences?
Yes you can, but you'll have to apply to get into A&S. The transfer GPA is somwhere in the 3's.

If you have any further questions, don't hesitate to ask.
