Question for current H students: which dental insurance do you use?

So I've been browsing dental care options here: Harvard University Health Services | Insurance | Students | Dental Care Options

And am not sure what to choose... should I get a Student Delta Dental PPO Value Plan? Or should I stick with HUHS & Harvard School of Dental Medicine, which charge fee-for-service? And how exactly does the fee-for-service work... HUHS accepts Delta Premier apparently, and Harvard School of Dental Medicine doesn't list a provider.

As you can see, I'm very confused!

the short answer is that most people have none of these things. dental insurance is not covered under huhs general plan or the supplemental plan either, if you choose to get that. you can get the occasional x-ray + cleaning for i think 175, but outside of that as you can see options are a bit limited. the most common strategy people tend to do is to just go with whatever they had before coming to college meaning seeing the dentist whenever they go home for breaks and stuff.

if all of this means you have no dental insurance, dont worry too much about emergencies. emergencies are covered by huhs general plan
