For those of you NOT majoring in science, how many hours of science classes are you going to take? I've taken 8 hrs of BIO and 4 of CHEM. Should I take second semester chem for 4 more hours?

I know that most schools generally require that the students not majoring in a science field take about 1-2 courses in a science field to satisfy a natural science core requirement. Unless you're premed, I don't understand why you would want to take any additional science classes. So far, I've taken 8 hours of biology with 24 more hours left to go; but that's only because I'm premed and I've got required science classes I need to take.

like elementree said, i don't think you're required to take that much. but if you have a genuine interest in the classes you are taking, why not? i don't think it will hurt your chances. i actually think it's generally looked upon as a good thing if you do more than whats necessary. i'm taking 8hrs of integrated laboratory science and hopefully 4hrs of bio and 4hrs of chem. so...16 altogether. i'm not going to be a science major either, but i really enjoy the classes.

Took four courses:

2 Bio, 1 Chem, 1 Physics.
