A friend of mine without a CC account is wondering the following:

Could an economics major in LSA take accounting classes at Ross (in preparation for a MAcc degree) without being admitted to or enrolling in the BBA program?

Thanks in advance.

An economics major in LSA can take accounting classes at Ross but I believe ROss students have priority for the space in the class. There is also a limit on how many credit hours can be taken outside of LSA.

the answer is yes. you can prepare for the MAcc program without being a BBA. For example, my accounting GSI last semester was a Psychology major in LSA.

Yes, you can take ACC 271 in the Winter semester and ACC 272 in the Fall semester. These are semesters when Business majors aren’t taking the classes.

Thanks, all! Your answers were extremely helpful in settling my friend’s nerves.

20 credits max. More than enough to get the accounting core out of the way (271, 272, 312, 315, 318) if you have the time.
