Question for pre-med students

Hey, I'm a freshman at NU right now and I have a quick question for pre-med students. I'm planning on major in either econ at NU, while double-minoring and going pre-med. I know it sounds like a mouthful but I really want to, and I think I can do it. I feel like the only way for me to do that, however, is to take one of the pre-med science requirements over a summer quarter (probably orgo) to free up my schedule for other classes. Do med schools look down on it if you take science requirements over the summer?? I'd be taking them here because I'm close enough to commute here over the summer, so its not like I'd be taking them at a less difficult college or anything.

I’m not a pre-med student, but I don’t see why they would look down on it.

As long as it is the class they require, and as long as you get an A in it, why would they look down on it?

Its completely normal. Do it.

I would advise against it. Orgo is crazy as it is, and condensing into such a short time makes it even worse. Note that 1 day of class in summer is about equal to a week in normal class time. If you do do it, don’t expect to hold a job or anything because it’ll just end up being too much. Then again, if you’re a Northwestern student, you can probably do it. Note that this isn’t personal experience but rather talking to professors and friends about it.
