I'm planning on self-studying AP Government (not sure about Comparative), and the AP Econs during my senior year due to the lack of APs that my school offers outside of the science field. And since I wish to go into law/political studies I want to learn as much as possible. Is there a recommended study system or book that I should use?

Thanks!

I studied micro with the book mentioned with success, will do macro, govt, and bio this year for self study. Best advice? Get started early in order to have time to really absorb the information. It makes that April-May study period much less stressful.

It is definitely doable if your course load at school will leave you time to study. I did psychology and european that way. The biggest thing is to start early and spend at least 5 hours a week studying. That should allow you to cover the material twice (depending on subject) before the exam. US Govt. is mostly us history with a little constitutional law thrown in.

fantasma: How hard would you say micro is? I want to self-study it this year. but I’m not sure if I’ll have the time. (Side note: I’ve heard ap macro is one of the hardest exams. Good luck!)

Neither micro nor macro are hard IMO. It is interesting to me, so maybe that makes a difference, but I took several practice exams after learning it for Academic Decathlon (about two weeks) and I always score 5s.
