Based upon the press release, BC accepted 7000 students. Presumably and assuming 12-1500 were accepted through ED 1 and ED2, seems like there was an over subscription for the remaining 1,200- 1,400 slots?
I was expecting a 20% accept rate with a 40%+ yield.
Given the acute shortage of housing on campus- lets hope BC doesn’t have over accept #'s.
Thoughts?
My guess: that may be an overestimation of the number accepted ED 1 and 2 combined. I have not seen official confirmation of what percent was accepted ED. It’s probably around 1000 tops, if they accepted in the neighborhood of what they said they would (they originally planned 40% of the class; 920). They accepted just over 600 of around 1700 ED1 (rate 36%), leaving around 1050 ED2 apps. My guess is >300 accepted ED2.
It would be interesting to know whether there were any last-minute recalculations of their yield algorithm for RD, for obvious reasons.
