If you are not currently in your top choice college, how do you feel where you are at now? I have a strong feeling I will not get into my first choice college, and have my second choice lined up. For those who ended up at their second or third choice, was it worth it, or would you have rather gone to a CC and attempted to transfer your junior year?

Ended up at my third choice. It's probably been the greatest thing that's ever happened to me. And I didn't have to buy any thermal underwear, so that can only be a good thing ;)

Well that's good to hear :) I'm just a little sad that my second choice is in the city I live in...I'd be living on campus though since it's being paid for ;D But still...nothing exciting. No exhilaration of being in a new place...blah.

I got into my first choice, but im transferring now to my second choice. In my case it happens that my second choice is probably a better fit.

I'm at a school I'd always said I would never go to, and I love it.

How big is the city?

It's a fairly large city, but when you've grown up here, it seems so small and not very fun.

Basically, growing up here has taken the exhilaration of having to take some responsibility. My parents are like, 15 minutes away, haha.

I ended up at what probably was my second choice (dream school was far too expensive), and I positively love it here. College is what you make of it, and what you think you want when you're a senior in high school isn't necessarily the best place for you.

I wanted to go to a "big-name" all-women's liberal arts school in New England but ended up at my (highly respected) southern "Big State U." Looking back, I wouldn't change that for anything--my school has helped me grow as a person as well as academically, provides boundless opportunities for its students and has a thriving social life and sense of school spirit. I didn't know it then, but that's exactly what I wanted.
